The Lab for Clinical & Integrative Neuroscience (Lab CLINT), led by Professor Sven Vanneste at Trinity College Dublin, is currently seeking two highly motivated PhD students to join a cutting-edge research project focused on developing and testing a novel bimodal electrical-sound stimulation treatment for chronic tinnitus. This project, supported by the Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID), combines clinical trial methodology, advanced EEG techniques, and innovative neuromodulation strategies to tackle a major unmet clinical need.
You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative research environment within Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience (TCIN), gaining hands-on experience in:
- Designing and implementing clinical research,
- Working directly with participants,
- Analysing multimodal neurophysiological data,
- Presenting your work at international conferences, and
- Collaborating with global research partners.

- Stipend: €25,000 per year (fully funded for 3 years)
- Location: Trinity College Dublin, Ireland
- Eligibility: Must have resided in an EU member state for 3 of the last 5 years to qualify for EU fees
We’re looking for applicants with a background in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field. Prior experience with human research, clinical trials, or EEG is a plus, but above all we value curiosity, drive, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
