Dear friends and colleagues,
It is with great sadness that we share the news that our close friend and outstanding scientist Larry Robert has died last week after a short, serious illness at the age of 81.
Larry has been an eminent scientist in the tinnitus field and part of the TRI family from the very beginning. Larry has been a team-worker, his work was patient-centered and he both inspired and supported young researchers.
At many of our international tinnitus congresses, Larry was a very welcome guest and impressive speaker, even after his retirement, whose expertise in the field of neuroplasticity was internationally recognized.
We owe Larry a lot. His calm, level-headed manner and ability to bring complex issues to the point will always be remembered. Our deepest sympathy goes to his wife Marion and his two daughters. The tinnitus community has lost an outstanding scientist - and we have lost a warm-hearted, cosmopolitan friend.
Dear Larry, we keep you in our memories and will miss your joyful presence.
